Challenge: The Roosevelt Institute held a gala dinner at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium to honor Bernard Rapoport in July 2009. The event required a logo animation loop and screen graphics which would include the treatment of several quotes from Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt.
Solution: The photos of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt were treated in a blue tone and placed over a repeating texture of the Roosevelt logo. Several of their quotes were treated typographically, being careful to emphasize and place the words similar to how they would be spoken. The logo animation was designed as a repeating loop whose tone and texture matched the screen graphics so that the transition between the two would be seamless.
